Eczema
Eczema or dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition characterised by
dryness,itching,scaling or sometimes redness,blistering,oozing or
thickened lesions.
Types of eczema
Infantile eczema: It is usually seen in children characterised by
itchy,chronic and relapsing dermatitis
caused due to imbalance in immune system.Rash starts on the cheeks but
may occur on any part of the body.
Contact dermatitis : It is caused when the skin comes in contact with
external agents such as
Water
Detergents
Fragrances
Nickel
Plant allergens
Allergenic chemicals
It is usually seen in women wearing jewellery when the skin comes in
contact with nickel present in gold jewellery.
Irritant contact dermatitis : It is occupational in origin ,most
commonly seen in people who are engaged in wet work(e.g.hair
dressing,cleaning,fishing,etc.)
Napkin dermatitis :occurs in infants due to irritation from urine due to
lack of frequent changes of napkins.
Infantile Seborrhoeic dermatitis occurs in young babies.Napkin
area,axillae and scalp are involved.IgE is normal and prognosis is good.
Neurodermatitis results from persistent scratching and rubbing of
skin.It could be a mechanical or chemical irritation or due to allergic
contact dermatitis.
HOMEOPATHIC MANAGEMENT

applications so that cure takes place and disease is not suppressed.
